10th anniversary of Dinafem

Dinafem, a seedbank specialized in feminized seeds

Dinafem was born in Spain on 2005, a year after the first feminised marijuana strains entered the market, which allowed growers to have as many females as seeds, not having to remove males as happens with regular seeds.

Dinafem quickly noticed the importance of this new way of developing strains, so it became the first spanish seedbank to offer feminised seeds to its customers. They believed this type of seeds would be very important in the future, and they were not wrong at all.

Since the late 90's, a strong cannabis industry has been developed in Spain, an industry that has even competed with the Dutch one, developing new types of seeds such as the AutoFem - autoflowering and feminised seeds that have been exported worlwide - and creating pro-legalisation entities such as cannabis social clubs and associations, all of them fighting for the legalisation of cannabis .

By combining these two factors - a thriving industry sector and the development of AutoFem strains - Dinafem entered the market with the aim of offering high quality varieties, since its team is formed by growers with 25-year experience who will not sell something that does not please them, thus offering a wide catalog of top-quality strains from around the world.

Elite European, American, autoflowering and medicinal cannabis

The first crosses ever developed by Dinafem were mainly created from European genetics. We speak , among others, about the Critical + strain , Moby Dick or Blue Hash, all coming from Spain, France and Holland. For the first time, growers could buy feminised cannabis strains, what captured the attention of many novice growers.

After this first step on the market - a very successful step indeed - and after the creation of the first autoflowering varieties in 2008, the main goal of the seedbank was improving the quality of these new strains, thus developing the first autoflowering and feminised seeds.

Slowly but constantly, they achieved to improve the taste, potency and yields of auto strains, creating a Line of seeds dedicated to AutoFems called AutoDinafem , which represents almost half of Dinafem's sales.

On the other hand, another aim of this seedbank has always been breeding American strains, so they soon had strains created from the OG Kush, the Bubba Kush or the Chemdog, what highly improved the overall quality of their catalog.

Today, they are focused on developing CBD strains , suitable for medicinal purposes and increasingly in demand, since many users are starting to realize about the beneficial properties of the different cannabinoids.

As we can see, Dinafem's catalog is rich and varied, both in quality and diversity, always trying that anyone interested in growing marijuana finds his/her favourite variety.

Dinafem in the future

Taking advantage of its 10th anniversary, Dinafem has changed its corporate image and has also inaugurated its own cannabinoid and terpene test lab, what will greatly help it to refine the quality and features of its strains.

Stating that Dinafem will continue working to be a reference in the cannabis seed market, its team also fights for the regulation and legalisation of cannabis in its many facets.

They will continue working and innovating along with cannabis clubs, associations, foundations, laboratories and dispensaries, even with cannabis-friendly governments, always struggling for the right of people to grow their own marijuana.
