Thanks to David’s Tour on the last edition of Spannabis, in which we could greet and talk with many collaborators and partners of the sector, we present you in this post three interviews. The first one is with Milo, breeder from Big Buddha Seeds, who explains his excitement with the fair and presents the new genetics in which they are currently working.
We also spoke with Martin Barriuso, a long line cannabis activist, realistic, honest and transparent in all his statements.
Finally, Mariano Garcia de Palau - Doctor and Surgeon with 35 years of medical experience and with 15 years of practical knowledge in regard with therapeutic cannabis - exposes his view on the current situation with regard to the rights of the patients who use marijuana as therapeutic complement.
Interview with Milo from Big Buddha Seeds
Once again (and it's been 7 years since their first time in Spannabis) the Big Buddha Seeds Team visited the Spannabis fair loaded with joy and happiness, since the whole team loves Barcelona and they want to celebrate the present situation of marijuana in this European city, both at activism and economic progress level and for the high quality of the weed in this country.
In respect of the future strains from the bank, Milo tells us about their new hybrids with OG Kush, the development of a new super-yielding strain called King Kong, the addition to their genetic collection of a landrace from Nepal, and more CBD varieties.

David’s interview with Martín Barriuso
Martín Barriuso is a renowned cannabis activist (and a very nice person) and founder of Pannagh, the first Association of Cannabis Growers in Spain, who states his very clear point of view on the present situation of marijuana in Spain: "We are at a critical moment" and "They want to throw us to the sea”.
He'll also tell us how the FAC (Federation of Cannabis Associations) is promoting a project of political intervention that will encourage a total regulation of cannabis, working out a law to define the individual use of this plant and even extending it to a possible commercial distribution. Basically, it is something carried out for clarifying the current situation with a transparent, clear and complete normative that protects everyone's rights.
At European level, he tells us about the involvement of the UNO in the regulation of this plant, as well as the inclination to dialogue in most countries, even if some Nations are moving backwards.

During the interview he explains the current scientific-medical view in respect of cannabis, and the increasing interest regarding its medicinal properties as a result of its recreational use. Thus, we know more about cannabis every day, being able to link its benefits to 26 diseases.
He also expreses his opinion on cannabis extracts at a therapeutic level, especially when compared to green material, highlighting the benefits of the combination of the large amount of cannabinoids and aromatic terpenes available in the plant. With extractions we can bget concentrates with high amounts of both compounds, thus increasing their effectiveness when used in dilutions of controlled doses.
