This marijuana strain was originally developed in the mountains of Oregon, in the United States; it progressively spread throughout North America, including Canada, where it was widely cultivated, selected, developed and improved. The original genetics was a crossing between a purple Mexican strain, a Thai sativa and an original high yielder Afghani.
It is internationally known that this genetics is more unstable than other seeds usually found for home use; this instability is manifested as irregular germination, non-homogeneous vigour, uneven growing, and the presence of a significant percentage of plants that appear to be affected by a virus, because leafs are deformed, stunted. Still, that does not impede them from being deliciously aromatic and having a great autumn purple violet colour that makes them beautiful among the beautiful.
Sweet fruity aroma, varies from the pure intense fruit odor to the mixture of fruit with the acrid dominance of the Indicas from the Afghani mountains. The taste is also sweet, fruity, like sweet red berries, and in some phenotypes this flavor is so intense that when smoked produces an aftertaste that lingers for a long time; these are the most desired specimens by the fans of this cannabis line.
Except for the growth of a % of mutant plants, those plants without that mutation have much vigour, even the Indica phenotypes of this strain grow much more than most other hybrids. It is often necessary to control the plant height, especially indoors.
It is a good producer, but due to the high variation of this genetics, some plants are more sativa than others and produce less than the average, but this sativa plants are those with the sweeter taste.
Furthermore, this strain produces more occasional "bananas" or male flowers at the top of the flower clusters than most known cannabis seeds.
