Blue Iguana is Mosca Seeds' most awarded regular variety, born from a Double Dutch crossed with an Old Time Moonshine male, it's now available from Alchmiaweb as regular seeds.
A vigorous and well-branched growth plant, Blue Iguana is a great option for SCROG crops where we want to grow a minimum number of plants but still get the best possible results.
Blue Iguana's mainly Indica heritage is evident in the robust plant structure and dark green leaves with long, medium-sized leaflets. It doesn't grow too high either, making it easily manageable when grown indoors.
Outdoor plants can be expected to reach up to 2.5m with a well branched structure. When growing large plants it's a good idea to tie the branches to stakes to so that they support the considerable weight of the buds at the end of flowering.
Blue Iguana is ready to harvest after 60-65 days of flowering, during which time it forms a great quantity of large, solid buds, producing up to 500-600g per m2.
At harvest time its flowers are covered with an impressive layer of resin with a delicious aroma of fruits of the forest with notes of musk on a sweet background and delivering a strong psychoactive high at the mental level and a relaxing buzz at the physical level.
Outdoors, Blue Iguana can be harvested in early October and can produce up to 600g per plant. If you grow in wet areas where rain is common, it is advisable to prune the plants to create more bud sites with smaller flowers and prevent the appearance of botrytis that can occur inside larger compact colas.
