Ethiopia x Malawi: Old School 100% Sativa African hybrid
Combining two pure subtropical Sativas from Africa, with genetics from Ethiopia and Malawi. The Ethiopian landrace is a classic African genotype, growing tall and slender, with a large internode distance, very high resistance, good yields and a positive, clear, active and sociable high. Its flavours and aromas are refined and woody, earthy, floral, musk and fermented citric notes.
On the other side of the cross, Malawi Killer is considered to be the most powerful and psychedelic landrace in the world, famous for its devastatingly potent effect and only recommended for seasoned smokers. It grows vigorously with medium internode length and strong branching, giving great yields of large colas with an impressive production of trichomes and oily, woody aromas with touches of lemon.
Ethiopia x Malawi: high yields of resinous and aromatic colas
In structure, this cross leans to the Ethiopian side, growing tall with thin leaves and flexible branches that are strengthened by the Malawi influence. The flowers have the best characteristics of African Sativas, with a very high calyx to leaf ratio, long and delicate pistils with the a dense and resinous floral structure of the Malawi Killer.
Indoors, Ethiopia x Malawi grows well with high intensity lighting and needs 12-13 weeks to fully complete its flowering stage, giving excellent yields of highly resinous buds. The high production on the large main cola lends itself to a SOG (Sea of Green), where is recommended to switch plants into flowering 15 days after germination to ensure they don't out-grow your tent. With a longer vegetative growth period, it is highly suitable for SCROG cultivation, owing to its vigorous and branchy response to pruning and LST methods.
Outdoors, it can be grown with success up to 43º latitude in warm coastal climates like the Mediterranean, and will really thrive in tropical or subtropical climates. Plants will be ready for harvest in the first half of November, and yields are really high when plants are grown in the ground.
Ethiopia x Malawi: A potent, trippy high and classic African flavour
The terpene profile is a great example of the classic, old school African flavour, dominated by lemon and sandalwood with floral and woody notes and a dense, oily and earthy background.
