Mapito is a high quality substrate for hydroponics first used by Dutch growers.
It consists of a mix of rock wool and coconut fibres which result in a very suitable substrate for growing marijuana.
A perfect combination of excellent oxygenation and a high capacity for moisture retention will give the cannabis plants an ideal growing medium to grow and optimal conditions.
For correct use mapito must be treated beforehand as with rockwool slabs. Soak the substrate for 24h for the optimum degree of moisture retention. Lower the minimum CE stabilising the pH of the substrate in the range of 5.4-5.8 to begin growing without mishap.
You can use round pots designed especially for growing with mapito or use square pots with excellent drainage to facilitate the run-off from the s / n excess irrigation.
