Brassica oleracea Var. Acephala
A cabbage variety very resistant to the cold, the “trinxat” cabbage does not form a head, but has shoots with clear, toothed leaves. It is harvested from December onwards.
Its staggered harvesting makes it an ideal cabbage for cultivation in pots or urban gardens.
Excellent flavour and not at all fibrous, this cabbage is used to cook the typical Catalan dish "trinxat".
