Pinmier is the autobiography - in french language - Bernard Rappaz, swiss enologist and agrobiologist famous in the cannabis activism scene for his avant-gardist vision of agriculture and the relationship between humans and Nature.

Althoug his parents were winegrowers, Bernard never liked alcohol and its negqative effects, so he started growing marijuana since the 70's, using seeds brought from Amsterdam and around the world and adapting them to the Valais climate. In 1974 the first aerogenerator of the Valais area was built in his farm, a symbol of new and clean energy sources.

Founder of Valchanvre company - which developed legendary strains such as Walliser Queen, Alpes Kinf or Red Valais - Bernard soon changed the Valais wineyards for fields full of cannabis plants.

Victim of its own success and unlimited development, the company was prosecuted by the Swiss authorities, which needed 7 trucks to confiscate the 52 tons of hemp that Bernard had stored in his farm. Once in jail, Bernard continued fighting against prohibition, for example with several hunger strikes.

The story of a passionate and atypical man who has devoted his life to both medicinal and recreational cannabis, now available in Alchimia.
