Wild cabbage (Brassica oleracea) is a plant with large and intense green leaves that forms a round, fleshy and compact bud in the centre of its structure. It can be cultivated in all types of climates as it can withstand temperature fluctuations and cold weather.
Its small round seeds can germinate in a seedbed in July-September, so that they can be planted in autumn and harvested in spring. These seeds are scattered in a seedbed and covered with 0.5-1.0cm of soil rich in worm humus, perlite and vermiculite.
It should be watered abundantly and placed outdoors with good light and a temperature of around 25ºC in order to accelerate the growth. After 30-45 days (September-October) when the plants are about 10-15 cm tall, they can be transplanted into the soil, to which humus and compost or cured manure are added.
