COMPO Guano is a natural fertiliser of organic origin that feeds plants and soil. It's composed of seabird excrements, accumulated over thousands of years in thick layers of many meters, on islands in the Pacific South American coast.

It comes from millions of cormorants, pelicans, gannets, penguins and other species that nest near the coast, and feed on fish-filled banks of the cold Humboldt current. The dung left by the birds is full of nitrogen, phosphate, potash, magnesium and many trace elements, which are the materials needed by plants for their growth.

Surely, the first South American people already knew the miraculous effect of guano on plant growth. Today, Peru limits guano extraction greatly, so that the deposits can be replenished again. A good alternative has been found on the coasts of South Africa, with a climate similar to Peru. Today, from there comes much of the raw material of guano. The typical guano from Peru contains about 7-12% nitrogen, 12% phosphoric acid, 2% potassium, up to 20% lime and abundant micro-elements. This composition is not ideal for all plants and soil.

For this reason COMPO Guano complements and compensates the original guano with other natural ingredients according to the needs of different plants.
