2015 Spannabis and Cannabis Champions Cup

This year's edition of Spannabis has ended (40.000 participants!!) leaving good moments, memories, all the news, and, of course, the Cannabis Champions Cup awards.

Divided into 4 categories - Outdoor, Indoor Bio, Extractions and Resins - and with 3 awards per category, it evaluates the works of the different breeders and seedbanks who submit their best genetics.

The atmosphere during the awards was very good, as in previous years, and the participants could enjoy the excellent quality of the samples while trying to control the nerves .

It is a pleasure to see how, despite the competitiveness, the friendship between the participants is always present.

Tierra Madre's team with David from Philosopher Seeds

Each year the competition is more and more fierce, since everybody is struggling to improve their works to win a prize, basically motivated by offering new genetics with surprising and delicious tastes and smells.

2015 Spannabis News

The main novelties of this last edition of Spannabis have been the new strains from the different seedbanks, such as Kannabia Seeds that presented their Amnesi-K marijuana (Amnesia x Lemon Skunk x Jack Herer) and the Kritikal-K (a Skunk x Afghan selection).

Eva Seeds also introduced new varieties, named Furious Candy (Papa's Candy x GWS) and Black Dream (Jamaican Dream x Black Domina), besides a new CBD version of TNT Kush.

Elite Seeds showed their Meganuska, a very resinous strain with huge trichomes based on Matanuska Tundra genetics, while Genehtik was awarded for the best seedbank of the last season.

Regarding growing equipment, many companies showed their new products, highlighting Autopot - with their automated irrigation system - and Biotabs, with their new Guerrilla Box, a slow-release fertilizer pack for guerrilla growers .

On the paraphernalia front, the Sublimator stand was constatly ccrowded with people willing to try their new models made in collaboration with Roor, that manufactures all the glass pieces of this vape for a premium quality vapor.

We also could assist some really interesting conferences, being able to meet and listen to activists like the CBD Crew seedbank , who spoke on the medicinal properties of cannabis, Marc Emery - Canadian activist - Araceli Manjón and many other qualified and reputed scientists. The CSC issue was obviously present, focusing the discussion on a responsible use and the current legal status of marijuana.
