Pot Marigold is a flowering plant with an annual cycle, rustic and easy to care for. Planted in groups in the garden it provides a nice colourful effect, very suitable for composing flower borders. It can also be grown in pots or planters. It is popular as a bouquet flower.
The plant forms small shrubs about 40-50 cm high, full of double flowers in different shades of yellow-orange. It is sown in a seedbed in spring, and transplanted in full sun or semi-shade in autumn. In the vegetable patch, it is used as a repellent plant, with its characteristic aroma it keeps away harmful insects. Calendula is also used as a nematicide when cultivated among other plants. Thanks to the secretion of certain compounds through its roots, it keeps worms and other harmful menatodes away from the vegetables.
