2014 Expogrow Irun

Expogrow, Euskadi's international cannabis fair.

The 3rd cannabis fair Expogrow will take place from 12 to 14 September, 2014 in Irun -Euskadi - in the fair ground of Ficoba. More than 13,000 people visited the fair last year, a huge marijuana fair with more than 12.000 m2.

This year, visitors will be able to meet more than 500 professionals of the marijuana sector, distributed in 100 stands: breeders (Shantibaba, Barney’s Farm, Serious Seeds, DNA, Riper Seeds, Dinafem seedbank , Sweet Seeds, Paradise Seeds, Kanabia, Strain Hunters…), fertilizer manufacturers (GHE, Canna, APtus, BioTabs, Metrop, BAC…), vaporizer manufacturers (Magic Flight, Da Vinci…), growing systems, cannabis books and magazines (Mama Editions, Cañamo, Soft Secrets…), and many more interesting stands.

Once again, Alchimia's team will be pleased to welcome you at our stand - 20B - where we will offer special gifts to our visitors during these 3 days: marijuana seeds from Philosopher Seeds , shirts, lighters, etc...You can't miss it, there will be gifts for everyone!!

Do not hesitate to visit also Dr García de Palau at his stand - 16A. This doctor, friend of Alchimia, has in-depth knowledge on the therapeutical uses of cannabis, and will share it with you freely. You will also find several Spanish cannabis associations and clubs.

Outside, there will be a restaurant zone, a tent for concerts, another one for the 3rd International Social Hemp Forum, and several outdoor activities: surf board, human table soccer, Herri Kirolak demonstration (rural basque sport).

The entry price is 15€ per day, 23€ for two days and 28€ for the three days. You will get a 3€ discount if you buy your tickets via internet before the fair. Parking is free. The interior area of the fair will be open from 11h to 20h, while the outdoor activities and concerts zone will remain open until 03h on Friday and Saturday and 22h on Sunday.

III International Social Hemp Forum

Expogrow fair also represents the chance to listen to the views of the most renowned international authorities of the marijuana world about its medicinal and recreational use, as well as the need of changing the current legislation on cannabis. This year, the entry at the Forum is free, so everyone can enjoy these conferences.

Doubtless, this year's most renowned guest will be Canadian Marc Emery, ex-vendor of marijuana seeds and fighter for the freedom of use of this plant, for which he was imprisoned 5 years in 2010 and extradited to the USA to serve his sentence. Recently released, Mark returned to his home in Canada on the past August and will be at 2014 Expogrow on Saturday 13 September with his wife Jodie Emery. She is the owner of magazine Cannabis Culture and channel Pot TV, besides being a great speaker that participates in conferences worldwide.

Other guests of the 3rd International Social Hemp Forum will be: 

Dina Browner (USA), pioneer of the movement for therapeutical marijuana in California. She inspired the Nancy Botwin character of the TV series "Weeds". Childhood friend of Snoop Dogg, who nicknamed her "Dr. Dina". Dina Browner also initiated a program to freely distribute medicinal cannabis to those patients that need it.

Dr Raquel Peyraube (Uruguay), Mecical Doctor specialized on problematic uses of drugs, Director of Institute ICEERS and counselor of the National Drug Board of Uruguay.

Laurent Appel (France), independent journalist, activist of ASUD and author of several books and articles in french about marijuana prohibition. We should congratulate Laurent for all her efforts and achievements on cannabis defense during the past years!

Paul Stanford (USA) President of The Hemp & Cannabis Foundation and owner of several medical clinics, has been defending cannabis legalisation in the USA for the last 30 years. His medical marijuana producer license in oregon allows him to freely offer his harvest to patients with few resources. Paul grows large marijuana plants , completely organic (Bio), with average yields of about 3-5 kg per plant.

Music concert schedule of 0214 Expogrow:

Expogrow is also famous for its quality music concerts. This year, saturday night's star will be Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band, famous British reggae artist, who is also a great pro-cannabis activist in the UK and Jamaica.

Also remarkable is French artist Naâman, selected as revelation of the year at 2013 Victoires du Reggae (France). The concert schedule will be completed by Little Pepe, Lariba, Alamedadosoulna, Lenacay, Eskorzo Afrobeat Experience, Uge ( ex-guitar player of Extremoduro and Clandestino), Super Spanish Combo, Chauchinatown, Lady Pepper & The Cooltrance, Revolutionary Brothers, Perro, Gordo Master, la femme Belge…

Expogrow's Cannabis Cup will reward the best quality in the following categories: best Sativa, best Indica, best Auto, best extraction with solvent - BHO - best extraction without solvent - hash... There will also be prizes for the best stand, best marijuana seedbank, best product, best fertilizer, as well as activist of the year.

This year, the contestants will be also judges, so they will have to evaluate other contestants. Complementing this jury, a group of special judges from Cannabis Magazine will offer two special prizes for best weed and best hashish.

Finally, and for the first time, a photography contest will be organized - Expogrow Art - to reward the best color picture, best B/W picture, best photomontage and best creative picture. The contest will be open until the first of September, and each winner will get 300€. The pictures will be exposed during the fair.
