I was wondering why the THC levels are so low, I have been researching this plant, and have read where the levels of a unaltered landrace heirloom Durban should be well above 20%

Hi John, thanks for your question. It's hard to say how much of the information about any given variety is true, and particularly so in the case of "landraces" with such an unclear history as Durban Poison. There's a lot of debate as to its history and even as to whether it actually exists in a pure form anymore. And when it comes to THC levels, there are many inconsistencies in lab analytics and a lot of pressure from seed banks to "bump up" the figures, meaning they are a rough guide at best. I even saw a website claiming Durban Poison tested at over 25% THC, which sounds ridiculous to me for a landrace! I notice that Dutch Passion removed any reference to THC levels from their own website too, one hopes they will update the info with some reliable test results in the near future.
