What are Landrace strains, and what are they used for?

What types of landraces are there?
Cannabis Sativa is a plant with great adaptability to the environment, which is why it has managed to spread all over the world. Landrace strains can be found all over Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
Central Asia and the Middle East
Here, indica landraces proliferate, with small size, short internodal spacing, and a mostly indica effect. Afghani and Mazar-i-Sharif (both originating in Afghanistan) or the Hindu Kush (Pakistan/Afghanistan) are among the most prominent. These are the basis for many modern indicas such as Black Domina, Pineapple Express or Epsilon F1 Auto.
South East Asia
In the Southeast Asian area, due to the long days and high temperatures, long-flowering sativa strains were developed. Examples like Thai, Lao Sativa, or Cambodian are clear examples. Historical genetics like the OG Kush descend from these lines.
africa
In Africa, as in Southeast Asia, we can find mostly long-lasting sativas such as Durban Poison (South Africa), Malawi, or Kilimanjaro (from Tanzania). All of these are long-flowering plants, with very long internodal spacing and thin leaves. Their effects are energising and motivating.
Europe
In Eastern Europe and Northern Asia, due to its arid and cold climate, Ruderalis genetics, the basis of all autoflowering genetics, was born. Due to the climate and the few hours of sunshine, cannabis in this area went from being photo-dependent to flowering automatically when its roots can no longer descend.
