Information on South African Kwazulu

Now available at Alchimia, South African Kwazulu Regular, a 100% pure sativa from the Drakensberg mountains, known for its vigorous growth, great resistance and fast flowering for an African landrace. It produces sweet, fruity aromas and an energetic, clear and very long-lasting effect. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, it offers abundant harvests and robust performance even in European climates.

Pure African power

South African Kwazulu from World of Seeds is a landrace genetic, 100% sativa, originating from the northern part of the Drakensberg mountain range. It is a traditional variety cultivated for generations by the Shaka Zulu people. Legend has it that this sativa was used in rituals and war preparations thanks to its energising, clear and long-lasting effect, capable of keeping concentration and morale high for hours.

Growing South African Kwazulu

In cultivation terms, it is a surprisingly manageable sativa: it flowers quickly, offers an open structure that facilitates airflow, and adapts easily to both indoor growing and European outdoor conditions, even in areas with shorter summers. Its flavour stands out for a sweet and fruity profile, fresh and pleasant with every puff.

Its medium tolerance to water stress and pests makes it a stable option for growers looking for a historic genetic without complications, with reliable performance even under variable conditions. Indoors it can reach up to 400 g/m², while outdoors it can exceed 800 g per plant with balanced nutrition and good sun exposure.

These regular seeds allow the selection of both males and females, perfect for breeding projects with pure phenotypes. Unlike many classic sativas, Kwazulu offers a flowering time of 9–10 weeks indoors and an outdoor harvest in mid-October, opening the door to tall, productive plants with a natural resistance well above average.

South African Kwazulu aroma

South African Kwazulu stands out for a sweet and fruity aroma, with fresh nuances reminiscent of light fruits and a very clean herbal background. Its effect is clearly sativa: energetic, stimulating and long-lasting, ideal for activating the mind, improving mood and accompanying creative tasks or daytime activities. It offers a lucid and motivating experience without physical heaviness, typical of pure African sativas.

Very wide leaves for a landrace sativa. I guess we'll see when I finally flower them out. They are my winter project

Alchimia Grow Shop

Hi, sorry to hear your disappointment but 19,95€ is the recommended retail price as set by the seed bank World Of Seeds, so no shops should be selling it for less unless for a special offer. I've searched online and I all I found was a place selling a SINGLE FEM SEED for $13, I think that must be what you were looking at. The same site sells the 10 pack of regular seeds for $32. I hope that eases your disappointment somewhat. All the best!
