Thanks to its stunning effect and hashy aroma, the Afghan Kush is considered as a strain with high medicinal value.
Brought from the Hindu Kush mountains (north of Afganistan), it is another mostly Indica genetics descendant from the Kush. It grows wild in the valleys of the Armu Darya river, which forms the border between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Afghan Kush is a very stable strain - almost 100% Indica - being probably the result of repeated backcrossing between kush genetics, since different kush strains grow wild very close to each other in a relatively small geographic area.
