Fat Pete's Cookies Auto, an elite auto-flowering strain
During the 1980s, Dutch cannabis breeders were looking to improve the quality of European genetics by incorporating US strains. At that time, US genetics had a reputation for producing original and high quality buds. Karel from the Super Sativa Seed Club sent his friend Fat Pete to New York, so he could obtain and get back the William's Wonder strain. This variety can exhibit auto-flowering traits, so made it possible to develop the famous LowRyder, the first automatic plants.
In order to develop Fat Pete's Cookies, the seedbank used its Auto Creeper, which is based on William's Wonder among others. It was crossed with a particularly fruity and powerful Auto Cookies. The team then carried out a selection and backcrossing to stabilise this genetics.
The result is a particularly productive and powerful auto-flowering strain. The plants are strong with automatic plants growing up to at least 100-200cm depending on the growing conditions. This plant delivers very resinous and compact buds. Fat Pete's Cookies Auto produces a good secondary ramification, which gives it a tree-like appearance, offering good yields.
Fat Pete's Cookies Auto, like all auto-flowering cannabis plants, does not benefit from too cold temperatures. Indoors it is advisable to keep the temperature between 20º-25ºC. Care should also be taken with nutrition and watering during the first weeks of the plants' life. Auto-flowering plants are especially sensitive during the first weeks of life, so they must be treated with care to obtain excellent harvests.

After a full cycle of about 12 to 13 weeks depending on growing conditions, the sweet buds are ready to be enjoyed. Fat Pete's Cookies Auto offers two phenotypes, one offering a distinctly Cookies character with more creamy and earthy flavours, while the other more tropical phenotype offers a fruitier and more sour result. Both phenotypes do not grow in the same way.
With THC levels reaching up to 20%, Fat Pete's Cookies Auto produces a powerful effect, initially offering a euphoric cerebral stimulation for a good time. Eventually, the effect becomes more relaxing and allows resting and recovering well after an intense day.
