One of the main problems in indoor grows is often humidity management. Today I'll tell you how to keep it under control.
This is the Cornwall Humidity Controller. Let's unbox it... we remove the device from the blister and as you can see it looks like a digital timer. You have the plug here, the socket, a display and these buttons, and we also have here the instructions manual in English, French, Spanish and Italian with everything I'll tell you in this video...
What is this controller for? It turns on or off different devices depending on the air humidity inside the grow tent.
For example, if humidity is low and we want to raise it, it'll turn on our humidifier. On the contrary, if it is too high and we want to reduce it it'll turn on our dehumidifier. Let's program it now.
We'll start by programming it in "Dehumidifier" mode. This means that we can connect any device to lower the air humidity, as for example this dehumidifier or perhaps a fan or an extractor fan, anything used to lower humidity.
First, we must enter the "Program" mode, but before that take a look here and check this small icons, either some drops that mean it is in "Humidifier" mode or some fan blades, which means it's in "Dehumidifier" mode.
To enter the "Program" mode, simply press the "On/Off" button and the up arrow simultaneously. We'll see how the icon switches between "drops" and "fan blades". Great, it is now in "Dehumidifier" mode.
Let's imagine now that our plants are in full bloom and we want to lower the air humidity to avoid problems with moulds. We'll connect the dehumidifier so that air humidity doesn't raise above 30%. Use these arrows here and it is already programmed to turn our dehumidifier on when humidity reaches 30%.
Let's change now the program. We'll use now the dehumidifier mode and connect a humidifier. We'll program it so it turns off when humidity reaches 80%. Imagine you're rooting clones and you need high humidity.
First of all, enter the "Program" mode by pressing the "On/Off" button and the up arrow and until you see the "drops" icon. Ok, it is already in "Humidifier" mode. We set now the maximum humidity level, which is 80% in our case. Great, it's now ready to operate.
Easy, isn't it ? With the "Cornwall" Humidity Controller you can easily manage the air humidity level inside your grow tent.
