CBD Therapy from CBD Crew represents an advance in the therapeutical cannabis field. It is is the first seed sold in feminised seed form with high CBD content and low THC concentration. Now available in Alchimiaweb.
The CBD Therapy cannabis strain does not come from hemp, but from strains commonly intended for recreational uses. Shantibaba's team has selected and stabilised this strain for nearly 4 years.
The analysis made by two laboratories (The Workshop in the USA and Canna in Europe) showed THC levels of less than 0.5% and CBD contents near 8%.
Thus, this marijuana strain has a very high CBD/THC ratio, perfect for patients who want to treat their diseases without the psychoactive effect of THC, as happens when treating childhood epilepsy, the Dravet syndrome or the Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
There are other strains with similar features, such as Charlotte's Web in Colorado (USA) or Avidekel in Israel, although these are only available as clones, which makes them much harder to get than cannabis seeds.
CBD Therapy is then perfect for those who are looking for medicinal cannabis extracts and thus take profit from the therapeutical properties of CBD, or simply for those who want to smoke a good variety but do not enjoy the psychoactive effects of THC.
Organoleptically, CBD Therapy has a very interesting terpene profile, with delicious fruity and sweet notes with earthy and truffle undertones.
August 2016 update: After the testimonial from growers and patients, the CBD Crew stated that some seeds did not produce high CBD plants in relation with the THC content. After a new test, they checked that 50-75% of CBD Therapy plants had very low THC content, while 25-50% had slightly higher THC content, especially when grown indoors.
No seeds produce plants with more THC than CBD, but the CBD:THC ratio can vary from 20:1 to 2:1. Thus, every CBD Therapy pack of seeds should contain at least one high CBD/low THC phenotype. It is then recommended to perform cannabinoid analysis to select to most useful plant.
CBD Therapy is not hemp and can't be grown as hemp. Its 100% cannabis genetics may produce individuals with more than 0,5% THC. The CBD Crew is constantly working to improve and stabilize the characteristics of this strain for all growers and patients.
