RIZLA Rolling paper

The origins of Rizla + company have hints of fantasy, as it is said that Frenchman Pierre Lacroix (founder of the family business) wanted to trade a rolling paper for a cup of the finest Perigord Champagne.

Lacroix family's business started in 1660, with successful and quick results. Still, it was not until 1736 that the family acquired its first paper mill.

1796 was a crucial year for the company; Napoleon himself gave special permission to the company to manufacture cigarette paper for his soldiers, who had to roll their cigarettes with book pages.

The manufacturing formula evolved over the years until 1865, when they began to use rice paper as basic ingredient.

At that time, the company name changed to Rizla +, where "Riz" means rice in French and "La+" means Lacroix, in relation to the family name. This made the company to stand out over its competitors, succeeding (in 1900) in being sold throughout Europe and the U.S.

If you are looking for quality paper, Rizla + is a great choice.
