The history of this genetics began with my first trip to Lebanon in the late 80s, early 90s. At that time, the strain "RED LEBANON" was very famous throughout the world, but AsturJaya wanted above all to get the original genetics that gave rise to the myth that Hashish produced from this plant was red because of the color of the clayey soil in which the plants where cultivated, and also because the plants used to get the best of the best were red instead of green, due to the cold weather existing high up in the mountains.
Over a series of trips, I saw how those seeds were transformed into small Indica strains. In each generation, beautiful specimens stood out with a strong red color.
After a decade experimenting with this gene, we have developed a strain 100% Indica with an extraordinary vigor and speed of growth, and with a unique effect, different to strains found on the market.
This is my favorite strain, simply because it has everything: it's beautiful with its red-maroon or pink-magenta colors, depending on the growing conditions. Also, because its medicinal effect and its ripe fruit aroma gives a sense of well-being.
Speed of flowering: nowadays there are just a few plants on the market having an amazing speed of flowering such as the Red Cloud.
The harvest time is between mid-August and early September.
Like all medical cannabis strains, the Red Cloud develops and enhances its organoleptic properties with a few months of curing. Some subtle changes in aroma may occur, bringing smells like ripe fruit or wildflowers, between moss and noble woods.
From all the strains we have, the Red Cloud, being cultivated in an organic soil, is the strain that releases the most the aromas in its flowers.
Finally, concerning the effect we should mention that this is one of the most medical strains we have, it can be used anytime of the day and makes you feel good as it relieves pain, relaxes the muscles and relaxes the heart rate, but it does not prevent you to continue doing all kinds of activities, very motivated and inspired. The Red Cloud is definitively a real gem of the ASTURJAYA collection .
