Ortega Indica is a hybrid of two strains that date back to the 70's, the Northern Lights #1 and another strong Indica .
The smell is very penetrating, with an earthy taste with spicy and tobacco undertones.
A common feature of the Indica strains is that they are ideal to consume before going to sleep; in the case of Ortega Indica,(considered a medical strain), this is more effective because it acts as a tranquilizer or an effective sleeping pill.
Something that differentiates Ortega from other Indicas is that the effect does not produce the heaviness of the next morning hangover. Side effects of sleeping pills or tranquilizers often involve waking up with a clouded mind, which doen not happen with this strain.
Ortega Indica is best grown indoors or in greenhouses. Plants are small and homogeneous, with compact buds and average yields.
