Alchimia presents Brompton Stock seeds by Rocalba, an edible flowering plant native to the Mediterranean area, South Africa and Central Asia. This flower was considered a great treasure during the Arabian period in the Iberian Peninsula, where it gets its name from the Arabic al-jayri, meaning "The best of".
Brompton Stock flavour is hard to find among edible flowers. It is a very aromatic plant with a spicy mustard-like taste and is often used in sweet desserts and light sandwiches.
For its consumption, the flowers must be washed by immersing them in a bowl of water and then gently drying them.
It is a wild herbaceous plant and does not require a great deal of water, quite the contrary. If planted in dry or semi-wet soil, it will promote the correct development. It is very important to plant it in a sunny area to ensure maximum direct sunlight.
