Chernobyl is one of Subcool's The Dank Seeds most popular varieties, a 60/40 Sativa-Indica hybrid famed for it's pain-relieving qualities and strong, enjoyable effect without paranoia, it's a high-powered resin generator with an amazing fruity flavour of sugary soft drinks and beautiful colours in flower.

The story began when Subcool moved to the West Coast of the United States. He began a search for the best Trainwreck clone available, but unimpressed by the famous Arcata clone, which in his view was too tall, too slow-growing, a little hermaphrodite, he gave up on his TrainWreck project until the day a friend passed him an incredible plant grown by SmokeScreen.

This plant, known as Blood Wreck for it's deep red, almost black colouring towards the end of flower, came from seeds found in a bag of Trainwreck. Thought to be a hybrid of Trainwreck x Trinity, this special female exhibited all the right traits, perfectly representing the character of the Trainwreck in flower, plus a great resistance to powdery mildew and most importantly great stability, producing no male flowers at all. Subcool's next move was to cross it with Jack The Ripper to add some sweet citric flavours and a slightly more Sativa influence into the mix, and thus Chernobyl was born.

Chernobyl is vigorous and easy to grow indoors, where it may need a little pruning, training or topping to control height, and is great for SCROG (Screen of Green) setups. When planted outdoors it can grow into a monster of a plant, really huge. TGA Subcool Seeds always recommend growing organically in soil for the best results, although it can be grown perfectly well in hydroponics or aeroponics.
