OG would stand for the term "Ocean Grown", referring to cannabis plants grown near the Pacific Ocean and not on mountainous terrain. This strain was stabilized during 3 generations in the San Fernando Valley area (SFV) before spreading throughout California and the rest of the world, primarly as different cuts (SFV OG, True OG, Fire OG, Tahoe OG, Larry OG, Ghost OG, Abusive OG, Raskal’s OG, etc.)
