Boule de Feu by Rocalba, very hot peppers!
The hot pepper Boule de Feu (Capsicum Chinese) clearly indicates its meaning with its name, ball of fire. Rocalba presents here the seeds of the hottest peppers in the world. It is native to Guyana, where it was given this name, and is also found in the Caribbean Islands.
Boule de Feu produces a small green heart-shaped fruit that turns red when ripe. It is related to the Habanero, of similar colour, size and spiciness. Both peppers are about 350,000 Scoville units, about 100 times the Tabasco spiciness (ideal for leaving your tongue the size of your mouth). Their sweet and fruity taste makes them ideal for elaborating all kinds of pungent hot sauces.
Boule de Feu hot peppers, big production and easy cultivation
Boule de Feu offers a large production under optimal growing conditions. It is recommended to germinate the seeds indoors at a temperature between 28-30ºC. The right period is one month after the last frost, in late February or early March, usually two weeks after the tomatoes.
This hot chilli plant does not cause any major problems, provided it is supplied with warmth and humidity, as well as a high watering level. Boule de Feu can be harvested green in late summer, and ripe peppers before the first frost in autumn.
