Information
Hot Red Cherry Small chilli is a pepper with beautiful cherry-like fruits. It is not difficult to guess its name once you look at the fruits, as these hot peppers are the size and shape of a cherry and once ripe they turn Ferrari red.
The fruit differs from most hot chilli peppers, with a tougher skin and is quite fleshy. They are not usually dried, rather they are widely used in marinades, and to accompany all kinds of sandwiches and salads. Its spiciness is not excessive, about 2,500-5,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units).
Its cultivation is even easier than other varieties, thanks to a slightly shorter ripening period. The germination takes place in late February/early March, just at the end of the last frosts.
It is important to acclimatise the plant outdoors by taking it out for short periods during the day. Once the temperature does not drop below 10-15°C, they can be transplanted outdoors. It is very important to provide regular watering.
