It is a vigorous basil variety with large purple serrated leaves. This plant offers an intense aroma and stimulating and digestive properties. It is ideal for preparing vinegars to which it provides a purple tone. Used as a seasoning herb and to keep away mosquitoes. Planted in an orchard it prevents aphid attacks.

Direct sowing or protected sowing in spring. Leave a 40-50cm distance between plants.
