The Jack Puck hydraulic press base has a dimension of 17.8cm x 20.3cm that facilitates anchoring it to a table using two clamp screws. It has a height of 37.5cm, being as powerful as it is compact.
This press is very easy to use, just put the cannabis resin into the mould, put on the cover and apply pressure with the hydraulic system in order to compress the resin. It is an effortlessly smooth action and without hardly any mess.
How to use the Jack Puck 8 ton hydraulic press
Unscrew the wing nuts of the mould cover located at the press top.
Remove the cover and place the resin in the mould. You can also heat the mould in the oven (maximum 100ºC) to improve the effectiveness of the press facilitating melting of the resin glands and compaction of the hashish.
If we heat the mould we can place a parchment paper at the bottom of it preventing resin from sticking to the metal, keeping it clean and facilitate the removal of the compacted hashish pieces.

Next, we fill the mould with the resin and then place another parchment paper over it. Now we replace the cover and tighten it up with the wing nuts.
With the mould filled, we're ready to operate the hydraulic system. Tighten the release valve located at the press bottom turning it clockwise with the handle; otherwise the plunger will not operate.

Then, we can start compressing the extracts with an up-and-down movement of the handle until we can not go any further, providing the maximum possible pressure on the cannabis resin extraction.
Before removing the compressed hashish, loosen the release valve by turning it counter-clockwise, and then remove the mould cover by first removing the wing nuts.
Now tighten the release valve again and raise the plunger with the handle so we can remove the compressed hashish. Once done, loosen the valve to release pressure, bringing down the mould’s base using your fingers.
