Information on Cherry Rozay
Genetics of Cherry Rozay
This variety comes from the hybridization of Cherry Cookie with Rozay, two American genetics from Colorado with a great reputation. Cherry Cookie provides the characteristic sweet and fruity background inherited from the Girl Scout Cookies family, while Rozay (a cross of Sunset Sherbet with Purple Bomb) adds creamy nuances and purple hues. Cherry Rozay has an indica dominance and its THC levels are high (between 22 and 28%).
Indoor and outdoor cultivation
Indoors, Cherry Rozay completes its flowering in about 8–9 weeks and can approach yields of 600 g/m². It develops a robust structure with abundant resin and tends to stretch significantly during the first weeks of flowering, reaching up to double its size, so it responds very well to training techniques such as LST, SCROG, or topping.
Outdoors, it's harvested in early October and can offer very high yields. Being a regular seed, it will require sexing to identify and preserve female plants, an additional step compared to feminized seeds.
Aromas, flavors, and effects
On the organoleptic level, intense cherry dominates, which depending on the phenotype may resemble candy or caramel, accompanied by nuances of gas, cream, and berry-type fruity notes. In the mouth, it maintains that cherry prominence over an earthy and sweet background, with a citric touch and a funky or gasoline nuance. Its terpene profile, with myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene, is well preserved over time.
As for its effects, it's relaxing and euphoric, with a heavy and sedating body component of long duration that tends toward couch-lock. Therefore, its recommended use is oriented toward nighttime use, ideal for unwinding moments at the end of the day.
