Composition and chemical behaviour

Dimethyl ether (CH₃OCH₃) is an organic ether with a slight polarity, which allows it to interact more selectively with cannabinoids and terpenes, unlike butane, which is completely non-polar.

This slight polarity makes DME:

• Easily dissolve cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, etc.), obtaining a higher extraction yield.
• Extract terpenes more completely, respecting the natural aromatic profile of the plant.
• Reduce the amount of waxes, fats and chlorophyll that usually contaminate extracts made with conventional butane.
