Genetics and Origin of Skunktrail

Skunktrail is born from the cross between Remintz (Golden Dust x Mentha de Croco) and Mentha de Croco Bx1, the latter being the breeder's own line. According to TerpyZ, Remintz contributes abundant resin production, sweetness, an earthy background and notable structural vigor, while Mentha de Croco Bx1 introduces a pungent chem-skunk profile that evolves towards fruit and honey-earth notes, as well as XL-XXL yields and a mutant fern-type morphology. The result is a sativa-dominant hybrid with mutant genes, in which around 10% of plants express fern-type leaves and the rest display classic, heavily serrated leaves.

Indoor and Outdoor Cultivation

Indoors, Skunktrail completes its flowering in 9 to 12 weeks with moderate difficulty. It shows good vigor from the start, solid internodes and a robust structure, although it stands out for significant stretch when switching to flowering. Height management is advisable, and staking is recommended to make the most of its colossal baseball bat-type buds. Harvests are heavy and very resinous, with qualitative production of XL-XXL.

Outdoors and in greenhouse cultivation is easier, with L to XXL sized plants that also experience significant stretch during flowering. It maintains its productive character, with voluminous colas and the same quality, making it a versatile genetic suitable for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse.

Aromas, Flavors and Effects

On the nose, Skunktrail displays a classic skunk accompanied by earthy, damp pine, sweet tropical fruit and a light spicy background. The inhale offers an earthy, pungent skunk, while the exhale finishes with a sweet spicy fruit ending, true to its terpene heritage.

Its effects, according to the breeder, begin with a euphoric, uplifting cerebral high that evolves towards a profound and long-lasting body effect. With high THC levels (19.5-22%) and practically no CBD, it's a potent variety, with an initially euphoric onset and subsequent marked physical relaxation.
