Zorroz x Zangria Feminized by Wizard Trees

Information on Zorroz x Zangria

Zorroz x Zangria is a feminized variety from Wizard Trees, the Los Angeles cultivator and breeder who has taken Z family genetics worldwide. It's an indica-dominant hybrid, around 60/40, combining two modern lines with a sweet and gassy profile. Its aroma blends tropical fruit, citrus, and gas. Its potency exceeds 20% THC and its effect mixes mental stimulation with final relaxation.

History of Zorroz x Zangria

Wizard Trees works in small batches with an artisanal approach, far from large commercial grows. Their varieties come from their own breeding program or from trusted breeders with whom they maintain a close relationship. Lines like Zoap or Zangria itself came from that collaboration network, the latter now ranking among the brand's best-selling flowers in the United States.

This variety crosses Zangria with Zorroz, another hybrid born in the Zkittlez universe. The result is genetics designed for those seeking California-style flavor and abundant resin without complications in cultivation.

At Spannabis 2024, the Wizard Trees booth was so crowded it was difficult to approach. According to Scott from the brand itself, the launch of Big Z, a cross of Zkittlez with Zangria, sold out in a single afternoon. A year later, Zorroz x Zangria appears as an award winner at the Championship Cup of Spannabis 2025.

Genetics of Zorroz x Zangria

Zorroz x Zangria is a 60% indica hybrid that brings together in both parents a strong heritage of The Original Z, the original Zkittlez. That weight of the Z family explains its sweet and fruity profile. The contribution of Cookies and Gelato through the grandparents adds creamy notes and a gas background.

The plant develops a hybrid, branched, and easy-to-manage structure, with compact and hard buds. Mature flowers are covered in shiny trichomes, a trait that brings it closer to the world of extractions.

Zorroz

Zorroz is a creation by Nine Weeks Harvest. It comes from the cross between Zkittlez and Runtz, two references of the California candy profile. Its line is known for an unmistakable candy-with-gas aroma and a reliable plant structure.

Runtz was born in turn from Zkittlez and Gelato. That's why Zorroz concentrates a double dose of Z heritage, with the creamy and fruity touch that the Gelato branch provides.

Zangria

Zangria is a variety developed by Fiya Farmer for Wizard Trees from the cross between Thin Mint Cookies and The Original Z. It combines the San Francisco Thin Mint cut with the original Zkittlez from Mendocino. The result is a potent hybrid with grape and tropical fruit notes.

It has become one of the identity markers of Wizard Trees, with a prominent presence in their sales in California, Arizona, and Florida. The brand has used it as the base for numerous crosses, such as Big Z, Gas Gimlet, or Side Piece, which shows its value as a parent.

Growing Zorroz x Zangria

Indoors, Zorroz x Zangria completes flowering in about 9 weeks, between 55 and 65 days from the photoperiod change. It reaches a height of between 100 and 140 cm, a comfortable size for closets and medium-sized rooms. Reference production figures are between 600 and 700 g/m².

It responds well to techniques like SCROG and LST, which allow spreading the canopy and taking advantage of its lateral branching. Its manageable structure and high pest resistance make it accessible for growers with little experience. It tolerates watering with a medium-high margin, which allows some leeway for small errors.

Outdoors it can grow between 180 and 240 cm and offers harvests of 1100 to 1250 g per plant under good conditions. Harvest arrives in early to mid-October in the northern hemisphere, a suitable schedule for much of France and Spain.

Its abundant resin and intense aromatic profile make it a good candidate for rosin or BHO. Yield estimates for BHO extraction are around 16-22%, an interesting figure for those wanting to allocate part of the harvest to concentrates.

Flavor and Effect of Zorroz x Zangria

The aromatic profile is exotic and penetrating. It combines sweet tropical fruit, grape, and candy with a background of gasoline and diesel, nuanced by citrus and bittersweet notes. It's one of those varieties that perfumes the room as soon as you open the jar.

On the palate it's sweet and enveloping, with a creamy texture reminiscent of the Gelato heritage. The finish leaves a slightly spicy aftertaste and the gas aftertaste typical of Wizard Trees' Z genetics.

The effect starts with a clear and euphoric cerebral stimulation, which encourages creativity and conversation. Over time it gives way to a smooth and relaxing comedown that balances the experience without reaching heavy sedation.

With over 20% THC, its potency is high and is designed for consumers with some experience. It should be dosed calmly to enjoy the balance between active mind and relaxed body that defines this variety.
