Transcript of video tutorial Digital Temperature Controller Cornwall :
Hi, today I'll tell you how to solve of the main problems in indoor grow rooms: Temperature
I'll explain you how to operate this simple Cornwall temperature controller, which we sell in our website. Let's unbox it now...
We open the blister and here we have our Cornwall temperature controller. As you can see, it has a plug here, a socket and a Display button. I'll tell you its functions, how to program it and how to check programs. It also comes with a simple user manual in 4 languages explaining what you'll see in this video (English, French, Italian and Spanish).
This device is mainly used for two purposes: either to raise the temperature inside the grow tent when it drops, with a heater like this one or any other heating device, or to lower it with an extractor fan, a fan or an air conditioning unit when it raises too much.
We'll set the program to “heat”, so we first connect the heater. Press the program button and notice this icon up here. It is either a snow flake (which indicates that it's in “cool mode”) or a flame (indicating it's in “heat mode”), which is what we want now...
To enter the program mode, press the On/Off button and the upper arrow simultaneously. See this snow flake changing to a flame? Perfect, it's already in “heat mode”. We just have to set the desired temperature. For example, if our grow tent is at 24,6ºC with the light on but we don't want temperatures to drop below 15ºC at night, we just set the temperature to 15ºC with the arrow so our heater will turn on when temperatures reach our set value, 15ºC.
Let's try now to lower the temperature inside the tent. It is summer, it's hot, and we don't want temperatures above 28 ºC.
Enter the program mode by pressing the On/Off button and the upper arrow simultaneously until the display shows a snow flake. Perfect, now we set the maximum temperature as we've seen before...28ºC.
In this way, when the temperature inside the tent reaches 28ºC, our extractor fan or air conditioning will start working.
Well, as you can see, it's as easy as a timer. It works the same way as the thermostat of any heating device. It turns on or off depending on the set temperature.
There you go. It is available at www.alchimiaweb.com.
