Information on Inked Kitty

Inked Kitty is a feminized variety from LIT Farms born from the cross between Pink Kitty and Sharpiez, two hybrids created by the brand itself. Both parents are described as indica-leaning, and the combination suggests an aroma that blends creamy sweetness with chemical marker notes. Its progenitors typically test above 20% THC and share an effect that starts euphoric and transitions into physical calm.

History of Inked Kitty

LIT Farms takes its name from Lost In Translation and presents its work as a way to keep alive the legacy of the California growers and breeders who came before them. Inked Kitty is part of the Sharpiez Drop, a batch of varieties in which Sharpiez acts as the common parent alongside others like Red Ink, Black Salt, or Superbloom.

Permanent Marker, grandfather of Inked Kitty through the Sharpiez line, was initially named Sharpie and had to change its name due to trademark issues. The reference to markers, however, remains very present in its offspring.
Through the Pink Kitty line appears WAP, a LIT Farms variety that won the Best Overall trophy at the 2022 Zalympix Championship.

Genetics: Pink Kitty x Sharpiez

Inked Kitty combines Pink Kitty with Sharpiez, and in both parents Zoap appears as a progenitor. Pink Kitty comes from WAP x Zoap and Sharpiez from Permanent Marker x Zoap, so this line is concentrated through both sides of the cross.

Regarding the indica/sativa ratio, Sharpiez is described as around 60/40 in favor of indica, while Pink Kitty appears in the description as 60/40 indica or as a balanced 50/50 hybrid. From this mix, a hybrid with a certain indica leaning can be expected.

The plant is classified as medium height. From the Sharpiez side, it inherits the tendency to form dense and heavily frosted colas, and from Pink Kitty, a manageable stature that stacks flowers well.

Pink Kitty

Pink Kitty is a LIT Farms hybrid that brings together WAP, itself the result of Cheetah Piss x Project 4516, with Zoap, derived from Rainbow Sherbert x Pink Guava. The Canadian brand BLK MKT selected its own phenotypes of this variety at its facilities in the Okanagan, British Columbia.

Its profile is recognized by a touch of mint on the nose and an exhale of sweet gas. It also stands out for its trichome density and large resin heads that make it interesting for hashish and solventless extractions.

Sharpiez

Sharpiez is a mostly indica variety from LIT Farms that crosses Permanent Marker with Zoap and completes flowering in 8 to 9 weeks. Permanent Marker is a creation by Seed Junky Genetics that brings together Biscotti, Jealousy, and Sherbet.

Its hallmark is a chemical smell reminiscent of a freshly opened marker, accompanied by lemon peel with a skunky background and a soapy floral finish. It's valued for its resin coverage and its visual appeal in the jar.

Growing Inked Kitty

Inked Kitty is a photoperiod variety suitable for indoor and outdoor growing, with a flowering period of 56 to 70 days. This range of 8 to 10 weeks allows for comfortable cycle planning, and its medium height makes it easy to fit in standard grow tents and cultivation rooms.

Both parents finish around 8 or 9 weeks indoors, and as a reference, Pink Kitty is harvested outdoors in early October. Pink Kitty also shows moderate stretch during the first three weeks of flowering, useful information for leaving sufficient space when switching to 12/12.

In terms of production, Pink Kitty is described as a variety that rewards the attentive grower with generous harvests both indoors and outdoors. Sharpiez sits at medium yields with very abundant resin, so in Inked Kitty, harvest weight and resin quality seem to go hand in hand.

Flavor and Effect

Through the Pink Kitty line, Inked Kitty can inherit a sweet and creamy profile. In that variety, sweet fruits with a creamy tone are described, along with vanilla, strawberry, and blueberry, with a background of mint, pine, musk, and gas.

Sharpiez provides the counterpoint. Its profile is more chemical and ink-like, with lemon with a skunky nuance, a soapy floral finish, and an exhale of spicy, earthy, and creamy citrus with gas notes. From the union of both lines, phenotypes that alternate between the dessert side and the marker side can be expected.

In terms of terpenes, Sharpiez relies on limonene, caryophyllene, and linalool, and in Pink Kitty, limonene, myrcene, linalool, and geraniol have been described. Limonene and linalool appear in both parents, which points to a fairly likely citrusy and floral background in the offspring.

Regarding the effect, Pink Kitty opens with a first phase that is energetic, cheerful, and creative before settling into a state of physical calm. Sharpiez follows a similar path, with a euphoric and giggly onset that transitions to a deep relaxation lasting about three hours and often awakens appetite at the end. Inked Kitty is shaping up as a hybrid that pairs well with calm afternoons and evenings.
