We talk to Ivan from Energy Control, an association focused on analyzing psychoactive substances, either synthetic drugs or marijuana. We could ask him a few questions for this video and he told us a little bit about Energy Control. Thanks!

Transcript of the interview with Ivan, Energy Control

We are with Iván, from energy Control, and we are going to ask him a question which can be interesting for most of us.

The question… Hi. The question would be, the people that grows on his own, in his house, for self consumption, can come to see you, to your association, for getting his production analyzed?

Well, we… Our analysis service is not only for cannabis, it’s also for synthetic drugs, and it’s oriented to the users. Users, Including also people who makes a self-growing or who buys on the black market.

So we are open to users, to everyone who wants to come. We are also open for cannabis clubs or associations. That is, strictly it’s a user oriented service, with the objective of giving them information about the composition of the substances that are consuming.

If there is also any adulterant that we can find, and also advise them about its use, basing our opinions on its composition, and giving them consumption guidelines, risks reduction, etc. And well, dealing more things in general speaking.

Could be, for making it more relative to our sector … Do you analyze THC and CBD?

Yes! With … We use a magnifier for visualizing the piece; with resins we look for adulterants, because there are some adulterants that can be seen, some others can’t be seen. And in marihuana we look for pollutants, ok? Like fungus kind, etc. And then, we make a chemical cannabinoid analysis.

This has to be clear, because we don’t analyze any pesticide, or terpenes, and we can’t know which fertilizers had been used. It’s an analysis system oriented to detect cannabinoids. We can detect THC, CBD, in which percentage are those present, which are the most interesting cannabinoids in terms of psychoactivity.

And then exist other cannabinoids, like the CBG, the CBC, or the THCV, which we can found, but we can’t quantify them, because our system of analysis is not so much complete by now.

We thank you so much for your job, a lot of health and success, and keep going forward. Thank you very much.

Thank you.
