LEC Newlite 315w & 630w. Tutorial video

An Alchimia videotutorial in which we talk about Newlite's new LEC lighting systems, available in 315w and 630w. With the new LEC or CMH technology we have everything in one unit, suitable for both growth and flowering in indoor cannabis home-grow spaces.

The LEC Newlite 315w and 630w are high performance lamps, they are small, compact and notable for their low consumption.

Today we’re going to talk about the new LEC lighting systems from the Newlite brand, in 315w or 630w.

I’m wearing gloves because we’re working with light bulbs and it’s not a good idea to touch them with bare hands. Until now, growing cannabis indoors we’ve used 2 types of light bulbs, depending on which phase of cultivation we were in, for growth we used metal halide lamps that give us a more bluish light, which is this, and when we switched to flowering we used sodium bulbs, which give us a more red coloured light.

With LEC systems we have it all in one single unit. In addition, we can find single and double ended bulbs, with different wattage and which can, depending on the bulb, offer different light spectrums.

This is the Newlite LEC 315w unit. You can see that it’s small, compact, on one side is the reflector with very high refraction, and on the other side is the electronic ballast. Simply connect it to the mains and it’s ready.

What advantages does it have? Besides the size, it gives off very little heat and also incorporates the type of LEC bulbs that we talked about before, which have several advantages, among them the long life of the bulb itself. It's practically double that of standard bulbs.

What else? Because it covers a broad spectrum of light, from infrared to ultraviolet, which we can use for all stages of cultivation. If expert growers require spectrums of 3,100ºK for flowering or 4,200ºK for growth, then we can also find light CMH bulbsthat provide us these types of light.

And above all, and most importantly, the cost factor: here we have a low consumption unit of 315w giving a high performance similar to 600w.
The 630w Newlite would be the equivalent of a Sodium bulb of just over 1,000w. Particularities of this unit? Apart from that it’s a bit larger than its little brother, because it uses a double-ended bulb with 2 terminals. How is the bulb fitted? First, on the one hand, it has a small spring, we also introduce it on the top, it makes a "click", and then these terminals are lowered and fixed.

We already have the equipment assembled, now we simply have to connect it to the mains and it will work. Differences? Basically 630w power consumption, but with a production similar to 1,000 - 1,100W in Sodium. It is the same as we have seen in the small version, but multiplied by 2.

These are Newlite's lighting systems. In LEC technology, a technology that is here to stay. Here they are: 630w and 315w... find them here, at www.alchimiaweb.com

Out-takes :

- I’m putting the gloves on... because... again. I’m putting the gloves on I don’t like it!

- 3, 2, 1,...

- I’m putting the gloves on because we’re going to work with bulbs today...

- Not today. Again.

- Shit man. Come on, bare hands are hardly dirty, yes. Pip pip pip... come on!

- Come on. If not it’s too long.
