Information on Pluto
Genetics and Origin of Pluto
Pluto comes from the cross between Gelato #33 and Triangle Kush '91 (a TK 91 Bx1 backcross), a genetics of Californian origin linked to the Gas House line from Seed Junky. From Gelato #33 it inherits the sweetness and resinous component, while Triangle Kush '91 provides the structure and more indica character of the whole. The result is a plant with high THC levels, approximately between 20% and 25%, according to matching figures from different sources. It should not be confused with other varieties called Pluto from other banks, since this one specifically corresponds to the Gelato #33 x Triangle Kush '91 line from Sacred Terps.
Indoor and Outdoor Growing
Indoors, Pluto completes its flowering in about 8-9 weeks (around 60 days) and offers an approximate yield of 450-500 g/m² under optimal conditions. It develops a medium to tall stature and a branched structure, so it responds very well to techniques such as SCROG and LST to control height and make better use of space. Its buds are dense and compact, so it's advisable to maintain moderate relative humidity during flowering to prevent mold issues.
Outdoors, harvest is estimated around mid to late October, with yields that can reach 600-700 g/plant in soil and a favorable environment. It prefers temperate and sunny climates, and can show beautiful purple hues when temperatures drop at the end of the cycle. Its high resin production and frost-covered trichome buds make it especially suitable for concentrates and resin extraction.
Aromas, Flavors and Effects
On the sensory level, Pluto displays a citrusy sour, earthy and spicy aromatic profile, with sweet undertones; in some phenotypes or cuts, gas notes and fruity touches reminiscent of grape also appear. On the palate, the citrus, sweet and earthy flavors combine with a spicy background that prolongs the experience and reflects its genetic heritage well.
Its effect stands out for being balanced: it begins with an initial cerebral stimulation that provides mental clarity and creativity, then evolves towards a deep body relaxation, very characteristic of an indica-dominant hybrid. This versatile profile makes it suitable for different moments, according to each grower's preferences.
