Information
Red Poison Auto is included in the new range of automatic cannabis strains, and specifically within the range of The Red Family from Sweet Seeds. This new set of strains is characterized by plants that become in lilac and red colors in bloom, giving us colorful flowers and no less appealing.
Its parentals are the Green Poison feminized crossed with an automatic strain native of the Hindu Kush, in Pakistan, which gives the purple color (in a 80% of plants), and besides it shorten the flowering period and adds a little nuance and sweety tastes to the aroma.
The bearing of the Red Poison is the common in a hybrid plant, with a strong central stem and lateral branches that surround it in every direction, separated by a short internodal spacing. All this reinforced by a great hybrid vigor that will make it grow strong and fast.
In the flowering stage, we'll have a plant with a large central tail surrounded by smaller compact satellite buds, but also fully covered with sweet and sticky resin.
The effect of this automatic strain of marijuana is basically Indica, relaxing and sweet. accompanied by fruity and sweet flavor and aroma, with a soft Skunk background.

Hi Tomaz, thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you haven't had much luck growing purple flowers so far.
The main factor in getting purple weed is the variety that you choose. I've never tried Red Poison or other coloured genetics from Sweet Seeds but I had great results growing Violeta from ACE Seeds, every single plant from the pack I grew had very dark purple flowers and amazing flavour.
Another important factor in getting colourful buds is the temperature during flowering. Lower nighttime temps will provoke the production of anthocyanins which are the compounds that give the colour, so try lowering the temperature in your grow space during the flowering period and try to aim for a 10-15ºC difference between night and day temps.
The third factor to take into consideration is the type of illumination, which can also influence the colour. A friend of mine switched from HPS to LED recently and he's been amazed by how it's brought the colours out, a very notable difference.
I hope that helps, best wishes and happy growing!

Hi Gareth, thanks for your question and thanks for trusting in us. I think the best advice I can give you is to use our online Seed Selector, where you can filter all the seeds in our catalogue according to their properties. In your case I would select the filters "Easy to grow" and, depending on the weather at the end of summer where you are, you could then select either "Fast-flowering genetics" or "Mold-resistant" to help ensure you don't end up with fungal issues at the end of flowering, which can ruin your crop quickly! If you want something fast growing, then you could select "Sativa Indica" plants which will offer hybrid vigour, but basically almost all plants will grow fairly quickly during summer, given the proper care, with the possible exception of pure Indica varieties, which can be slow and stocky. As far as the THC levels go, we don't have a filter for "Moderate THC" but we do have one for "High THC" "Low THC" and "THC CBD 1:1" so maybe you can use those filters to work out which varieties have moderate THC levels.
I hope that helps you choose something, but if you're still not sure then we will be pleased to offer more detailed help, just leave us another comment.
Best wishes and happy growing!

Would you recommend Red Poison for a beginner and would this plant be a good outdoor plant?

Hi Jakob,
Sure! Just remember to plant it directly on the ground or in the final pot, autos hate small pots!
Best!

Hi Ricky,
No problem, although using a greenhouse is always recommended in colder climates!
