What is sterilised grain and what is it for?

Sterilised Grain 2L is a fully sterilised corn nutrient substrate designed to facilitate mycelial colonisation of different species of fungi such as hallucinogenic mushrooms. Its pre-cooked, contaminant-free format provides a safe, ready-to-inoculate environment without the need for autoclaving or additional preparation.

It is an ideal base for the cultivation of magic or edible mushrooms, as it offers the perfect balance of moisture, oxygen and nutrients. Thanks to its high porosity and homogeneous texture, it allows rapid and uniform mycelial development, reducing the risk of contamination and accelerating the incubation phase.

How to use and main advantages

Its use is very simple: just inoculate the bag with a syringe of liquid mycelium or spores of the desired variety - such as P. cubensis or gourmet species -, reseal and keep in a clean, warm space (20-24 °C). In a few days the mycelium will colonise the substrate and can then be mixed with a production substrate or bulk for fruiting.
