Apricot Candy, the encounter between South African, Dutch and US genetics

The Paradise Seeds breeding team has combined one of its classic and productive Sativa with US genetics. Therefore, to bring a different flavour palette to the Californian lines known for years, a higher bud and resin production and increased THC levels.

On the one hand Dutch Dragon, a strong Sativa heavyweight that delighted Sativa effect lovers back in the 90's. It was even improved ten years later to the rank of the latest new and modernised Sativa varieties. On the other hand Girl Scout Cookies Thin Mint, a "Made in USA" strain that needs no introduction.

The result is a genetic line with a stable foundation, with rather uniform plants that add "something" extra for growers who are used to the Cookies Genetics but are looking for a little extra originality.

Apricot Candy Cannabis Strain cultivation

It is a variety with 70/30 Sativa Indica genetics, featuring a strong development and good stretch. The Indica side contributes to the development of abundant secondary ramification and larger buds.

It is advisable in limited growing spaces to select carefully the pot volume, as well as optimisation methods to temper this "Cookie doped" Dragon's vigour.

Apricot Candy has a solid structure as well as branches that bear well the flowers' weight. Indoors, the harvest is ready after about 65 days of flowering, offering a yield of up to 550g per m2. It produces swollen and very resinous buds as if coated with icing sugar. Outdoors it can be cultivated between the 50th parallel north and the 50th parallel south, with plants that can grow up to 3 meters. True trees in a Mediterranean climate, with a yield of up to 1000g per plant and harvest ready in mid-October. Under harsher conditions it can grow less, but can still develop to a good height, something to keep in mind if one wants to go unnoticed.

Apricot Candy is a very colourful variety in all its respects, with the flowering foliage evolving into blue, purple and even red tones with a beautiful appearance. It gives off aromas of apricot as well as apple and fresh figs. Also, a spicy touch reminiscent of pepper and vanilla with a silky sweetness that makes one feel as if enjoying a delicious dessert.

A beautiful plant, yet with an effect that can be confusing for the beginners, due to a THC level of 18-22%. It produces a highly energetic and clear Sativa cerebral Rush effect that comes on instantly and can last up to half an hour, then becomes calmer and more physically relaxing thanks to the Thin Mint inheritance.

A high concentration of caryophyllene enhances the CB2 receptor stimulation of the body's endocannabinoid system, which is associated with anti-inflammatory effects.
