Genetics and origin of Arjan's Strawberry Haze

This sativa-dominant hybrid (around 60% sativa) is born from the cross between a Swiss Sativa known as Erdbeer (strawberry in German) and an NL5 Haze Mist. From the first it inherits that unmistakable strawberry and blueberry nuance, while the Haze line contributes its aerial structure and cerebral effect. The result is a plant with a markedly sativa character, with a high THC content (around 20%) and low CBD levels.

Indoor and outdoor cultivation

Indoors, Arjan's Strawberry Haze completes its flowering in about 10 weeks, although an additional week helps to squeeze out all its flavor. It's a tall plant, with long branches and easy branching, which makes it ideal for techniques like SCROG, LST or main-lining; controlling its height is key to getting the most out of it. Its trichome density is notable and production can reach 600 g/m².

Outdoors it displays all its vigor and can become a true monster of 250-300 cm with a Christmas tree-like structure. Harvest arrives around the second week of October in the northern hemisphere, with yields of up to 800 g per plant. It thrives in equatorial, tropical, subtropical and temperate climates. Its cultivation difficulty is medium, it's manageable and even suitable for beginners, as long as its stretch is controlled.

Aromas, flavors and effects

In aroma and flavor, intense strawberry dominates, accompanied by citric, sweet and fruity notes, with a slightly earthy and metallic Haze background with an old-school feel. Its most expressed terpenes (linalool, terpinolene and alpha-terpineol) reinforce that characteristic fruity profile that makes it unmistakable.

Its effects are mainly mental: stimulating, euphoric, uplifting and very conducive to creativity and social moments, with a very light body load. It's a daytime use sativa, perfect for chatting, watching a movie or enjoying music with friends. Due to its potency, moderate use is recommended for low tolerances.
