Genetics and origin of Black Light

This variety comes from crossing Limelight and Black Magic, two hybrids developed in-house by the breeder themselves. Black Magic is a clone-only selection known for its enormous resin production, a trait that Black Light clearly inherits. The result is a hybrid plant with effects described as "energetic yet heavy," with very high THC levels (close to 28% according to specialized sources) and very low CBD content (around 0.1%).

Growing tips

Indoors, Black Light completes its flowering in around 56-63 days (about 8-9 weeks). It shows good vigor, forms dense buds and develops a thick resin layer, with production rated as medium. Its difficulty is considered easy to moderate, although it's worth noting that Wizard Trees genetics tend to be aimed at growers with some experience.

In aroma and flavor, Black Light displays a complex citrus gas profile: penetrating notes of diesel and gasoline over an earthy background, topped off with sharp citrus lime. Its dominant terpene is caryophyllene, responsible for that spicy, deep character that's appreciated both in the nose and on the palate.

Its effects start with a stimulating cerebral high, clear-headed and focused, ideal for creativity and concentration, which gives way to a balanced body relaxation without falling into sedation. Due to this energetic yet heavy character, it's associated with daytime use and creative activities. At high doses, common side effects such as dry eyes and mouth or slight dizziness may appear.
