Information on Brains Escape
Brains Escape is a feminized strain from K.C. Brains Seeds Holland with indica dominance, resulting from the combination of three European and Brazilian lineages. Its flowers release a fresh citrus aroma with hash undertones, reach around 18–20% THC, and offer a heavy, relaxed effect. It's ideal for growers seeking a classic indica that's resistant and productive, capable of performing well both indoors and outdoors.
Genetics
Brains Escape is a mostly indica hybrid, with an approximate ratio of 70% indica and 30% sativa. Its genetics bring together three lines: Edelweiss, a Swiss line worked on in the year 2000, a Brazilian selection from Salvador de Bahía from 2001, and K.C. 606, one of the seed bank's own genetics.
The Brazilian heritage gives it some traditional landrace traits, while the overall combination results in a stable plant with a short, bushy structure, featuring the broad, thick leaves typical of indicas. It's a genetic that performs well both in group crops and as individual specimens.
In cultivation: resistant and productive
Indoors, Brains Escape develops compact plants between 1 and 1.5 meters in height, a manageable size for most grow tents and rooms. Flowering is estimated at between 9 and 11 weeks, though some specimens may complete their cycle slightly earlier. Production is around 140–180 grams per plant, and being an indica, it doesn't require as much light intensity as a sativa to deliver good results.
Outdoors it shows its full potential. It can reach between 2 and 3 meters in height and offer harvests of 800 to 1200 grams per plant under good conditions. In the northern hemisphere it's harvested in late September, after about 9–12 weeks of flowering. It performs especially well in warm climates, and in areas with shorter seasons it's advisable to vegetate indoors or in a greenhouse before transplanting outdoors.
One of its strong points is its high resistance to pests, fungi, and diseases, making it a convenient choice for growers with little experience. Its difficulty level can be considered easy to medium: a stable and adaptable genetic that forgives mistakes and responds well in very different environments.
Flavor and effect: citrus, hash, and relaxation
The buds of Brains Escape are large, dense, and become heavily coated in resin at the end of flowering. Its aromatic profile combines fresh citrus with a hash background that intensifies as flowering progresses, noticeable even during cultivation.
When smoked, those citrus notes remain on the palate with a classic hash aftertaste that adds depth to the flavor. The effect is indica-leaning, heavy and relaxed, designed for moments of rest and the end of the day rather than activity. A strain with traditional character and a potency around 18–20% THC.
