Traditionally, marijuana breeding was based on achieving psychedelic power, reaching very high levels of THC, currently over 25%.
But thanks to the current medical use of cannabis , another cannabinoid - CBD - is beginning to gain importance because of its multiple therapeutic properties. This has led to the creation of marijuana strains with higher levels of this cannabinoid, from the traditional 0.1/0.3% to 4-5% rates.
As mentioned, CBD is very useful to alleviate nausea, nervousness and anxiety states, and also improves and facilitates sleep. Combined with low/average levels of THC makes the effect more balanced, providing its beneficial properties without intoxicating the mind of the user, very quietly and without anxiety or paranoia, providing a soft and calm "high".
Because of this, Dutch Passion understands the need in the market of marijuanavarieties with a THC / CBD ratio of 1:1, so in 2012 they began to work together with CBD Crew to achieve a feminized cannabis genetics with the mentioned features. Thus was born the CBD SkunkHaze, with a THC / CBD ratio of 1:1 (5% respectively).
The origin of this strain is the Haze / Skunk from Dutch Passion, winner of the 1992 High Times. It was crossed with a plant with high level of CBD. The result of this crossing shows high and large plants with a flowering cycle of 10 weeks. Being a 50%-50% Sativa Indica crossing, its flowers are large but fluffy, and release a soft smell of cedar with a spicy tones, plus hints of citrus, pine and mint.
Suitable strain for indoor growing , that with proper care can produce about 450g/m2.
