The THC content moves in a high range, with values that according to references oscillate approximately between 16 and 27%, and the effect is hybrid: an uplifting and sociable high that ends in physical relaxation.

History of Cheetah Piss

This variety was born in the Cookies environment, the well-known Californian brand, in collaboration with Growing Passion. Its name doesn't allude to any genetic relationship: it's a nod to Cat Piss, a very popular variety in medicinal dispensaries on the American west coast during the 2000s. It also circulates under the nickname Funky Kitty, much more presentable on a label.

Cat Piss lived its moment of glory in California thanks to its ammoniacal smell, but its fame faded when the public began to prefer fruity, candy, and dessert profiles. Cheetah Piss recovers that provocative smell and mixes it precisely with dessert genetics, as if wanting to reconcile the two eras. Some recommend storing it in a well-sealed container if traveling on public transport.

Over time, the original clone has become a reference genetic for other modern crosses and has passed to seed format through different banks. The Sacred Terps version fits with the bank's line, focused on polyhybrids with intense terpene profiles and an entirely feminized catalog.

Genetics and plant structure

Cheetah Piss combines Lemonnade, Gelato 42, and London Pound Cake 97, three pillars of the Cookies catalog. Most descriptions present it as a balanced hybrid, although some cultivation observations point to a slight indica tendency in structure and others to more sativa-like behavior in stretch, something logical in a three-way cross.

The plant tends to show wide leaves and short internodes, with a compact architecture that stretches appreciably at the beginning of flowering. The buds are dense and heavily covered in trichomes, lime green with orange pistils, and can develop purple tones in some calyxes depending on growing conditions.

Lemonnade

Also known as The Original Lemonnade, it's a sativa-dominant hybrid associated with Cookie Fam Genetics and typically described as a cross of Lemon OG and Gorilla Haze. It brings to Cheetah Piss its most citric facet, with notes of lemon and lime, and a good part of the uplifting character of the high.

Gelato 42

Gelato comes from the cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, from which several numbered phenotypes were selected. Number 42, also known by the nickname Larry Bird, is one of the most famous cuts of the family and is characterized by its sweet and creamy profile and its balance between euphoria and relaxation.

After the creation of Gelato, its breeders took different paths, and even today there's debate about who maintains the most stable version of the genetics. Cookies cultivates #42, while other producers maintain their own numbered phenotypes.

London Pound Cake 97

London Pound Cake is an indica-dominant hybrid from Cookies Fam Genetics, obtained from Sunset Sherbet and a potent indica whose identity has never been revealed. Its profile recalls a vanilla cake with berries and lemon, and brings to Cheetah Piss density in the bud and the relaxing sediment of the finish.

Growing Cheetah Piss

Indoors, flowering is between 8 and 10 weeks, according to different available references. Height usually remains in a medium range, around 80–140 cm, although it can grow more if the vegetative period is extended, so it's advisable to apply LST from the beginning to control stretch and distribute light among the tops.

Indoor production varies quite a bit depending on the source consulted, with typical figures of 400–550 g/m² in good conditions and more modest values in other references. Outdoors it's harvested between late September and mid-October in the northern hemisphere, with productions that usually range between 400 and 800 g per plant and a clear preference for warm and sunny Mediterranean-type climates.

Its difficulty is considered medium or demanding, more suitable for growers with some experience. It's advisable to open the canopy to avoid humidity pockets between such compact buds, maintain a controlled temperature and humidity environment, and not overfertilize in the final stretch to preserve terpenes.

The harvest is better utilized with a cure of at least four weeks, which rounds out the aromatic profile. Its abundant resin production also makes it a good candidate for making extractions.

Flavor and effect

The aromatic profile is as peculiar as its name. A pungent ammonia-type smell stands out accompanied by lemon, diesel, and skunk, with nuances of pine, herbs, and menthol touches. Under that intense layer appears a sweet background reminiscent of cake, direct heritage from Gelato 42 and London Pound Cake.

On the palate it's acidic and citric, with diesel notes that give way to a sweet and creamy finish and a mentholated exhale. Some consumers also describe nuances of nut and butter. The terpenes that most recur in its profile are caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene.

The effect starts with an euphoric and focused high that invites conversation and laughter, to then evolve toward a progressive physical relaxation. In high doses it can become heavier, so it fits better in relaxed afternoons and low-demand creative activities.
