Genetics and Origin of the Cross

Its genetics come from the cross between Mendo Breath and Sunset Sherbet, two parents that give Jamaican Sunset its character as a perfectly balanced hybrid. From this combination emerges a plant with very high THC levels (around 25-28%) and a very low CBD content (approximately 0.02%), a ratio that largely defines both its intensity and its effects profile.

Indoor and Outdoor Cultivation

Indoors, Jamaican Sunset completes its flowering in 8-9 weeks and offers yields of 550-580 g/m². It develops a vigorous, airy and branched structure with good light penetration, producing dense, compact and uniform buds. It also stands out for its high resin production, which makes it very suitable for extractions such as traditional hash, rosin, water hash or dry sift.

Outdoors, its harvest arrives between late September and early October, with approximate yields of 1,500-1,750 g/plant and heights between 2.3 and 2.5 meters. It shows moderate natural resistance to humidity, rain and wind, typical of tropical conditions. Overall, its productivity is high indoors and very high outdoors, within a medium difficulty cultivation.

Aromas, Flavors and Effects

Sensorially, Jamaican Sunset displays an intense and complex profile. In aroma it combines sweet notes, a marked gas/gasoline nuance and an earthy background. On the palate it maintains that same line, with sweet flavors, a gassy sensation and that earthy character that adds body and depth to each puff.

Its effects are described as biphasic and balanced, with an euphoric, stimulating and mood-elevating beginning that enhances creativity, to later evolve towards a deep and lasting physical relaxation. Therefore it is especially indicated for creative moments, social gatherings and evenings with friends and, in general, for relaxed environments.
