Information on Sapphire OG
Geist Grow, the breeder at Humboldt Seeds, has developed the Sapphire OG, a potent and resinous OG Kush x Afghani hybrid that is now available in Alchimia Grow Shop.
This variety comes from backcrossing two OG Kush plants from the 90's with "Old World Afghan", thus creating a unique phenotype which was then stabilized by crossing it with the OG Kush one more time.
Sapphire OG grows fast and vigorous, reaching more than 5 metres (16 feet) in height in outdoor crops.
Staking the branches is advised so they can support the weight of the buds, which are compact and enlongated, with orange/yellow hues at the end of the flowering stage.
Bushy and lush, it performs really well with the SCROG technique, getting the best results when we train its branches.
It is ready to harvest after 57-63 days of bloom, late September if grown outdoors.
The flavour reminds of diesel, pine and chocolate, with floral and citric undertones.
The effect is psychoactive and relaxing, perfect to end a hard day of work. It relieves pains and is suitable to treat eating disorders.
