Soma Sacred Seeds is an iconic Dutch seedbank. It has been awarded dozens of cannabis awards for its innovative genetics that have revolutionised the cannabis scene with varieties such as Amnesia, NYCD or the delicious Somango.
Soma Seeds, from US to Amsterdam
A seedbank that has expanded thanks to its many years of experience. Soma started growing cannabis in 1971 in southern Vermont, and then moved to Florida and Oregon. It gradually perfected its cultivation and became one of the High Times magazine's collaborators under the pseudonym of Amos Washington.
This involvement was a major foothold in the cannabis culture and professional cannabis world. This brought Soma to Amsterdam where the Cannabis Cup was held in 1994. This Dutch city, so different in culture, with freedoms not seen in other countries and a unique spirit, totally seduced Soma who decided to settle in Amsterdam definitively in 1994 and to continue its adventure in the cannabis world.
From then on, the great success of Soma and its genetics expanded rapidly. This was the fruit of years of selection and experimentation, contributing to a new dimension in the coffee shop menus of the time: NYCD, Lavender and Somango are definitely genetics that have definitely influenced their generation, as well as the legendary Amnesia strain, one of the emblematic Dutch cannabis strains for years.
You can now enjoy these strains in the form of regular and feminised seeds at Alchimia.
